Val Thorens advice Please

Hi, does anyone know the transfer time from Geneva to Val Thorens? Also can you reccommend self catering chalet/apartment accomodation for 7 adults. Our group have been to Les Carroz the last couple of years and had a great time - quick transfer and decent accommodation (were in chalet for 10 but realistically 7 adults was just right). We're looking to book for next year and fancy a change of venue but if transfer too long, we'll prob be back to carroz for third time.

Hi new2ski,

Transfer via private transfer/minibus would be 2 3/4 hours.
Public transport via Altibus bus service would probably need a change in Moutiers and would be longer.
Hire car would be 3 hrs depending on route.

Why is Pvt transfer/minibus faster than hire car?

Do they go through walls and the like? :lol:

Not through walls - but they do have routes to avoid traffic jams and the ability to take the back road from Albertville to Moutiers when the traffic flow lights are on.
