Good snowfalls in many areas of the Alps have improved conditions considerably this week, bringing powder skiing back to many ski resorts. Temperatures continue to fall and, after a couple of clear days, this coming weekend will see the arrival of further snow.

Incoming

Beginning Sunday, perhaps earlier in some places, snow is expected down to 1,500 metres and possibly lower. Significant accumulations now look highly likely, with the Northern French and Eastern Swiss Alps seeing anywhere up to five days of snow in succession. If you're considering a short break, or even a sneaky week out, the next couple of weeks should be good - and should set things up very nicely for Easter.

The very latest forecast data is always available to you on j2ski, but remember that alpine forecasts more than 48 hours ahead are extremely variable and can change dramatically from one forecast to the next, particularly in the presence of complex weather systems.

Wow, you are the man Admin, I presume "eastern Swiss alps" includes Saas Fee? Be there on Saturday, (8th march).
