Hi all,
First posting so here goes. We fly to Vaujany on Sunday and the weather looks pretty good. Any recommendations for good runs for blacks without moguls? How about good food on the piste. I hear night life is limited but we are staying in Rissiou which has a bar; any others to try.
Thanks
Adam :?:

I am going to Oz en Oisans (linked resort) in two weeks. Maybe you could let me know some information about the area when you get back.

Adam,

The following blacks are usually without moguls:
La Fare; Clocher de Macle; Sarenne; Glacier; and Cristeaux. They are all machined regularly. Other blacks are machined less frequently or not at all and have moguls.

The best mountain restaurants in my view are: Chez Passoud, Les Airelles and La Grange all in the Vaujany sector, Lac Besson( which is outstanding)in the Alpe d'Huez domain; Perce Neige in the Oz en Oisans area; and Combe Haute in the Sarenne Gorge at the end of the run.

Night life in Vaujany is fairly limited to a few bars and one night club.

Hope this helps if it is not too late!

thanks Geoff. Got your message when we got back but tried all the runs and loved them and most of restaurants and loved them too. Vaujany was quiet but Arsens bar was always friendly and lively. I spent a bit too much time there!! We skied Sarenne after 60cm snow and no machining and it was tough but did it again 2 days later after machining and it was brilliant.
I would go again and my brother has booked already!!
