Hi, when i was in switzerland earlier this year, I did a speed purchase of previous season boots, namely Salomon Performa boots. They are grey and say 5.99 on the back of the boot. However, I cant find any details of these boots anywhere on the web, and am trying to find out for what ability level these are suitable, before I decide whether they are suitable for me or not (they fit fine!).
Anyone know anything about these boots at all? Thanks.

Salomon describe the Performa as an "all-rounder"... and, broadly, their boot numbering indicates the overall stiffness of the boot. Their boot designs have been fairly stable for the last few seasons, so your boot will be very, very similar to their current Performa 6 (being numbered 5.99, it may even be an early release of this years model 6 - they've been rumoured to do this with skis; there are some very strangely numbered CrossMax's around!).
So check the description of this years Performa 6 for suitability. I would think if you are anywhere from early to experienced intermediate they will be a great boot - and if they fit you fine then that's a result! 8)

Useful info, seems very similar to the 6.0. The 5.99 was confusing me somewhat!
Cheers.
