Anyone else come across these limited edition skis? I am a reasonable intermediate, and had been renting skis up until Xmas 2006, when I came across these in a warehouse in Mayrhofen - 349 euros rrp, so I took the plunge and bought them. My thinking was a few weeks rental and they are paid for.
I think they were a 2006 year model, hence being in the sale. But they are nicely colour co-ordinated in red/black, and more importantly they seem to be the right ski for my level. I like a slightly shorter ski, and being 5 foot 7 I went for 159cm length.
Up on the slopes, they were light and responsive, if not the fastest (which is fine by me as I am still trying to improve technique rather than speed), and after my first full week on them in Sauze in March 2007, they actually felt like friends.
I think buying discounted skis is a tremendously good thing to do, provided they are indeed a decent enough ski, although I would certainly recommend that people consider buying boots before skis, as these have to be the most important piece of equipment you can own.
Anyone else seen or used these skis?

I've got a set of my own. They are great! This season will be my first full one so I'm not sure on how to accurately describe them for ya, but they did survive Austria in the summer as well as lots of trips out to my local resort. They were very responsive and kind to a messed up knee. I got mine on at an "end of the season sale"
Uh oh, I think I broke'd the lift
