Those of you who follow F1 Racing (it's another form of sport - but without skis and with engines) may have heared about Honda's ambition to save the planet with their myearthdream.com project. Instead of plastering their cars with the usual corporate advertising they instead encourage companies and individuals to make a pledge to do at least one thing to help the environment. On their list of suggested pledges was an item that caught my eye - 'Give up ironing'. Fantastic I thought, I can do that and feel thoroughly proud of my creased clothes.

Now however I have a problem. I have recently entered the world of DIY ski tuning (cheers Pavel). This according to my girlfriend consists largely of spending hours and hours with the an iron on, making myself and the shed smell like a tarts handbag.

Now that I've mastered, and now enjoy, the local dry slope I imagine I'll be spending a lot more time making sweet smells in the shed so I guess I'll be back to the Honda website looking for a new pledge.

Wish me luck!

That's funny because the people that thought that idea up, most likely use a tumble dryer and are able to fold thier washing straight from the dryer without creases.

F1 is the greatest sport, well second to skiing of course :D

Its a tough thing knowing where you can help save energy etc but still get by properly and normally. The usual leaving things on standby over night etc, are what i purposely avoid now. i turn lights off that are left on in the house during the evening. i know its not much but at least i can say im doing my part (be it small) to help the environment and save our sport!!!!
