Hi folks
I'm thinking of going to Sauze for a week with a total beginner - I don't think she will want to learn every day ( and I'm a bit rusty but don't need a full week's coaching) and the brochure price for ski school is high - can we book individual days ski school in resort?

Went to Sauze in 2003 and about to return. On our previous trip we had the best instructor we've ever had in 12 years of ski-ing. His name is Andrea (pronounced Andreya) Vitton and at the time he was a director of the ski school. I know he used to do private lessons in the afternoons and have just emailed him myself to find out if this is still the case and how much he charges. If his email hasn't changed and I hear back from him I will let you know. One final thing personally I would suggest a beginner does go in lessons every day as I have met several people (particularly females) who have totally lost their confidence from trying to do too much too soon. You can always ski together in the afternoons. I have been ski-ing for 12 years and I still enjoy lessons and learn to refine my techniques plus it's a good way of meeting new people, not ski-ing alone and finding your way round the runs. The other thing you could consider but don't know if Sauze offer this is doing a ski ranger session this entails no instruction just showing you the best runs, sometimes the reps do this but you have to be at least intermediate level to get the best from it. We are flying out 18th March - how about you? :D
