Anyone allready out there should have a great time and anyone going there next week it will be great - Just come back from there had a great deal on the ski passes heavily discounted and only had 2 days of sun the rest was snow snow and snow at the end of our week I think there might have been just one or two blacks closed and that was it - SUPERB - great place for skiing lots of lovely easy blues and greens some nice reds and Im assured some great blacks as well. - The restraurant at Nyon is the best on the mountains Tartiflette/salads fab. What a fab place to go as a family - I would reccomend it big time. - My daughter had ski lessons with ESF 9Via Esprit( and there were only 4 in her group - as a non skier she was coming down the chavannes blue on her 3rd day - progression or what! Have a great time It really is a lovely place and so pretty when the snow is there!

Sam
Just got back from Les Gets. I am glad that all of our dancing paid off as you obviously had a wondefull time and we sure did. A few mornings of rain but lots of snow and the last 4 days were wall to wall blue skys.
Amazing about your daughter and the Chavannes Blue Run. Amazing how quick they pick it up isn't it.
Did you do the Arbis Red run down from the Chomissiere? That has to be my favourite run of all....

:D I too have just returned from Portes Du Soleil, my son (4), did beautifully with ESF there in Les Gets, and had now recieved his Flocon level badge, fab snow on Valentines day, big feathery flakes and near empty slopes, I must agree that the Arbis red is one of the best ever, it was my first time down it and I want to do it again !!!! We are back on March 11th for a week, adults only so I will get me chance again

The Arbis run opened up on our last day of skiing - MY OH did it but I stayed with my daughter - we did do violetta which finishes in a bit of a red which she was Ok with apart from at the end of the day and we got a bit tired - mind you I did ski her all the way round morzine and back again so its no wonder she was a bit tired! I want to go again now! Spencers any room for an extra 1???? Glad you both had a great time I would quite happily go again such a lovely resort and loads of different runs and lovely restaurants

My daughter was also in the snow garden and also got her flocon badge. Maisie did the aftermnoon session from 2.45 till 5.00. Maybe the two of them were in the same class!!!!
Lovely snow on Valentines day wasn't it? Shame it had to be followed by the day of rain. But never mind.
Everyone I speak to who has visited Les Gets has totally fallen in love with the place. I can see why. Don't know about you guys but when we skiied over to Morzine it just looks so dark and depressing?! Certainly not as vibrant as Les Gets.....
Here's to next year, or maybe a sneaky weekend towards the end of the season!

Yep Pete - Les Gets I thought was nicer than Morzine and as you say when we were there Morzine was pretty green/brown even with the snow we had in LG. As for a resort I loved it - My daughter who was desperate to get back to school is asking when she can go back skiing again mmmmm Having a look at some last min bargains - trouble is Ive allready taken her out of school for the last hols I dont think It would go down well if I did another week - might have to wait for easter and see whats about at very last minute and of course what the conditions are like - If you need another to make up nos for a sneaky w/e give me a shout!
