How great to hear of a fellow sufferer - we should maybe think about joining Admin's Forecastaholic club. We also went skiing in mid Jan. resort wasn't closed (wish it had been then I'd have not damaged my knee!) but the conditions were grim, and now I follow the webcams and forecasts with slightly scary enthusiasm. What are we going to do in the summer?

Hi, can anyone let me know how the conditions are in Les Deux? Group of us off in 3 weeks and just wondered whats the snows like? :D

I've not been to Les Deux Alpes, but if you go to the Ski Club of Great Britain website, they give comprehensive reports on individual resorts on a daily basis.
As I have this problem which means I can't stop looking at snow forecasts, I've looked for you. It says that piste conditions are excellent and that 10cm of snow is forecast over the next 7 days. Sounds pretty good to me! :)
Obviously, there is tons of good stuff on this website too, but I expect you already know that!! :wink:

Our latest Snow Report for Les Deux Alpes shows depths of 25 and 110 cm (lower and upper slopes respectively)... but the interesting bit is the LDA Snow Forecast (being updated now) - if you're going next week you're going to have freshies by the looks of it! 8)

Sorry Ripperup - I've not been to LDA & sadly I'm not going. I went to Les Gets for 2 weeks mid Jan when the ski area was closed due to lack of snow....anyway that's another story!
I only looked out of interest because I like looking at different resorts and different snow reports. I'm trying to find something more useful to do with my time ....... perhaps I should tackle my ironing pile :(
