Please help ski friends,
We are flying into Munich Nov 26 and would like to ski Nov 27 - Dec 3(ish). We have never skied Europe. We're advanced intermediate skiers and, on a budget. We are equally interested in a quaint area that is truly "european." Would much prefer a small locally owned retreat vs. a modern hotel...but clean;) I know this is too early for the St. Anton region that looks so wonderful from charming village to many linked areas to enjoy. HOPEFULLY someone will be able to advise on where to ski and stay and, how to get to and from the area?? Also open to Germany ski areas! MANY THANKS.

Kaprun will definitely be open - Zell am See is scheduled to open that weekend.... That would fit the bill in terms of location... Good luck

The majority of the lower Austrian resorts do not open till the 2nd week in December unless they get a very early fall. Because of that the touring companies will not have booking for then so the resorts will be very quiet.
