Looking to carry drink, sandwich, spare layer, goggles and gloves, and also shovel and probe. From what I see, all ski backpacks cater for shovel and probe with a waterproof compartment.

My top tip would be a good waist belt.
Some support rather than just a little strap and, very important, a big snap connector that can be undone with ski gloves on!

What do you want to carry in it? Full off piste kit, or just a spare layer and a drink?
