Hi All

I have a pair of Fischer progressor 100 boots which are around 4 years old. Had them custom fitted, proper footbeds etc

I love them and they are very comfortable

However my instructor last year said they were too stiff and I wasn't flexing them enough. He seemed to think the flex should be adjustable but didn't know this model

They do have a pair of Allenkey-type adjusters on the back - seem to be labelled "forward lean adjust" and "adjustable spoiler"

Any clues on what I need to do here?

I could take them back to the shop as they are covered for life but it's a long trek if its just a quick fiddle with a screw - equally though I don't want to break anything

Cheers

BTW the clever scanning stuff the forum does seems to think I'm discussing Lenk (wherever that is) as part of AllenKey. I'm happy to use my boots anywhere!

If this is the boot http://sportconcept.com/backend_nou/content/images/clapari-progressor-100-20121216095901.jpg you can't adjust the flex. They can be softened, but it should be done by a boot fitter as it involves removing material from the shell.

This is relatively soft boot, so there might be other issues. Did the boot fitter check your dorsiflexion? Are your legs very skinny, do you have to really crank the buckles down to get a good fit around your leg?

That's the boot by the look of it - though I'd never describe it as soft. My mate has race boots and says mine are almost as stiff.

I have no idea what dorsiflexion is but they took 4 hours to fit me so I'd guess they checked it all. My legs are most certainly not skinny and the buckles sit on only the first or second notch. Any more and my feet would fall off I reckon!

those ski boots match my skis....do I need another pair of boots???

(this is a joke, before anyone thinks otherwise :) )
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!
