We will be in Schladming next week. My son who is 13 skis perfectly but still would like to join a group. Will he have to ski with adults? (kids are defined till the age of 12). Many thanks.

When ive looked into this previously i have always found that the kids had to go seperately. But i guess it depends on the school and class.
Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

Thanks for your quick reply. What do you mean by "seperately" ? Will he be with a group of teenagers or is at this age you already ski with adults ?

Sorry, i totally misread your question. I thought you were asking if he could ski in the same class as you.
It is very unlikely he will be put with adults. In my experience there tend to be three categories for ski school. Children, teens, adults. The best thing to do would be to look at the websites for the ski school you will be using.

As it is not a school holiday next week I suspect there will not be many older children in ski school at all so your son will probably be in with adults. I know the Hopl ski school very well so would you like me to ask them if there will be any teenagers in resort next week?

I should not worry, skiing is a great leveler for mental age. That is why grown men still have to have mental battle each time they see a jump. Am sure he will have a great time no matter what group make up is.

Thank you all for your replies. Buntycake - I would appreciate it if you could please get me some more info. in addition, if I can use your connections to ask whether it is possible to have to kids in a full day program for snowboards - beginners for five days. Many thanks !
