My fastest ever recorded fall. Started high up above the entrance to the speed gun. Had a smooth run down the track, 102.1kph ~ result!
Except that almost immediately at the bottom of the track were a series of lateral ridges, and at that speed, there is nothing you can do.
So, upside down, at over a 100kph, I hit the ground, laughing! Nobody died!
But I watched another do the same, 10 min later!

Thank you, Wanderer. I'm Ok now, but I was a bit sore for a couple of days.
However, with one of the instructors, I managed a sub 3 minute Run 19 this morning!
Who are you trying to kid?
Dave is a very fit man of senior years. Well, retirement age at a guess.
A fall at that speed would be bad news for anyone, but even at his age I know daves experience would have helped him avoid serious injury.

Ha ha! That makes me feel a lot better. I crashed at speed at the end of one of my timed slalom runs on the Südhang at Scheffau  . I was too busy looking over my shoulder at the timing device and went off the edge of a roller that wouldn't have been a problem if, 1: I'd been going a little slower, and 2: I'd been looking where I was going! I don't think I was doing 100kph  . Luckily there were no witnesses; the kids were still in ski- school and it was just out of range of the video camera.

Glad you were ok . At that speed, it could have been very nasty

Dave, please don't take offence to this comment, i really don't mean it the way it may sound.
But a fall at 100kph for a man of your later years is bloody scary. Glad you are ok.

Falling at my age (39) is bloody awful.
Not long back i fell over on a slippy path while out jogging. The worst thing was the fact it ran along side a major through road in my town that was packed, and at a standstill, during rush hour.
I could see people pointing and laughing.
