Returned from a wonderful weeks skiing, weather was just about perfect :D

Stopped in a wonderful chalet etoile filante (starski chalets) We had a wonderful couple to look after us, and the food was great : :D :D Would really recommend. We were able to choose which lifts they took us to, generally by 9.00am then would pick us up at about 6.00pm (from a bar of course)

Most of the runs were really good with a good covering of fresh snow, but as the week went on the lower runs got a bit tired, but if you stayed above 1200m the runs were perfect. We skied into Switzerland for a few days again wonder snow.

Hired our skis they were OK from (Doorstep skis), my sons had a good few days off piste with a guide but mainly in the trees. The avalanche risk is still quite high with the rain earlier and warm temps. :!:

Will try and post some photos later.

Hi there

I was there the week before. I experienced 3 bluebird days and 3 days of really heavy snow. We skied mainly in Avoriaz as the conditions were significantly better. On the days that it snowed loads in Avoriaz it rained loads in Morzine. Consequently on the ski back to the top of the Super Morzine it was like skiing in porridge

I have skied the PDS loads and it is always very varied. If they did a lift pass for just Avoriaz & Switzerland I would buy that as I personally think skiing in Morzine & Les Gets is limited and cannot guarantee the snow.
