Salomon rocker or whitedot preacher???

Hi,

I have been skiing quite a few years now, and want to buy a nice FAT pair of skis for my trip this year!

I have narrowed it down with my own research to two skis maybe.

Salomon rocker 115 (178/188)

I am only 5'6" tall (170cm ish) and weight no more than 10 stone (65kg isn) so also interested in what length? I have 172 skis now and prefer shorter more agile skis but not sure if i'm meant to go longer in powder?

Could get some nice marker bindings fitted to either.

I do motocross the rest of the time so my skiing style is aggressive (with a definite lack of technique i'm sure haha) but I love any deep powder/off piste through the trees stuff now or anything choppy/massive moguls that can be jumped etc! I currently have a set of Head Monsters which I use for everything (including the above already) at the moment that I can keep for the piste stuff with the family when I have to!

They are both for sale in uk from usual suspects snow and rock or ellis brigham etc but I'm going to valthorens and wonder if any good shops would have them out there to buy and set up? (save me lugging them out there!)

Look forward to any ones preferences with more knowledge than I have on it or if they have or have tried either?

I'm surprised nobody has replied to this one. It must have sneaked past as I was getting ready for my SkiWelt trip and then dropped off the front pages before I got back.

I haven't skied on either personally. I see that they both get great reviews. I had hoped to demo the Preachers in Tignes in December, but every man and his dog had the same idea and I never got the chance. I suppose that is a recommendation in itself! I only heard positive comments from the people who did try them. Quite a few people were seriously talking about buying them and quite a few more had already done so. I don't think you'd go far wrong with either of them. Sorry not to have been of more assistance.
