Hi there all. looking to travel in Jan for a ski so plan to land in venice then to Selva in Sella ronda area for 5 days then try to get over to ski Zematt. Anybody have any tips about over or around. Prefer train over bus but either is fine and be a few of them!. How many hours you reckon it would take, is it a nice trip etc.many thanks. matt

On thinking about it, maybe over to Austria, say St Antons for a few days, then train over to Zermatt seems more sensible. Seems Bolzano then over to Austria is the accepted way. Thanksagain. Matt

This is a better idea, assuming there were no holdups it would take 10-12 hrs to get from Selva to Zermatt. The quickest way is via Verona and Brig.

Hi there SW. Thanks alot for the reply. Maybe can go via Innsbruck as well. Might have to break it up to two days as want to enjoy it. Maybe do a few days in St Antons etc.
Eith way seems nice enough. m

Yes much easier to go from Selva to St Anton on the train via Innsbruck. You will have to change trains in Innsburkc so you can decide whether tio stay around Innsbruck for a few days as well
