I'm thinking of pre-booking our hire equipment for our Christmas ski trip before too long.
I was wondering about my eldest daughter though and when she should move up to adult equipment. She will be 15 and a half when we head off, is about 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighs approx 8.5 or 9 stone. I suspect that she is nearing her eventual adult height and weight soon.

My partners son is 13yrs, already 5'8". His age makes him a child in most resorts, we pay a childs rental but because he is tall and not super skinny the shop always loans him adult equipment at no extra cost.

If you book with Skiset, the choice is made for you. They have a category called Teens which they define as age 12-15. Younger than that it's Children and older than that it's Adult. Not sure about resort hire shops.

My Lout paid child prices for boots when he was 15yo and size 13 !!
