Ski companies do make some "blunders".
Two ski companies tried to "integrate" boots and skis as one package. You had to buy boots and skis together. No other match was possible due to "integration mechanism" and unique ski boots.

Are you sure? I thought this was a boot / binding package, the bindings could be mounted on any ski, but it was only possible to use the matching boots.
A third company made a small number of specially branded skis to help the launch.

I am sure. ( Bandit I checked my data before posting ).
The blunders were this boot/ski interface.
Two companies tried and failed to convince skiers that this interface made them ski better, faster with more status.
Name the companies.
