By "private" you mean you need private lessons or an intructor not associated with a ski school?

You can hire private lessons for one hour or more at any "official" ski school in the Alps or Pyrenees where most of the ski instructors are " locals". The only exception is Andorra where they don't have a big amount of ski intructors to cover the season and the have to contract ski intructors from abroad most of them from Argentina and Chile.
