Are you sure your old pants were not letting some moisture through?
The only time I have suffered a cold butt is with the Marmot pants I mentioned recently, where the Goretex delaminated around butt area.
because I'm so inclined .....

You can get thermal underpants!

Might help - but probably an issue down to poor quality saloppettes so hopefully new ones will solve the issue.

Yep, as Andy says try Thermals.

The old sallos must have either been poor quality or wearing out.

I always wear leggings under my salopettes and I've never had this particular problem :D

What are you wearing for thermals?

All my base layers are 100% polyester ,Its not a massive problem but after 10 minutes on a cold chair lift seat ,it dosnt look good me shoving my hand down my salopettes rubing my bum trying to warm it up
Looking at the temps this week i shouldnt have to much of a problem

Eat plenty of beans or chilli, or better yet, chillied beans. Then take a box of matches with you, hopefully you can work out the rest

You could look spectacular in dull light
