OK the hunt for our last minute ski holiday has started so would appreciate help on Westendorf - we have not skied there since the mid-90's (went three consecutive years) and loved it. Now there is the link Ki-West does anyone know if you can buy a day pass to use it or can you upgrade your Ski Welt lift pass for a day? We have always had the Ski Welt one in the past but did not want to have the Super Area area pass for the whole time. (We also had a day at the Stubai Glacier from there once too) - just wanted an update on the resort, as we are more than happy to return there again. I could spend hours trawling the net, but much more easy - and fun - to hear from J2Ski buddies! Thanks! ... and a yodel!
Rather a bad day on the slopes than a good day in the office!

To use the Ki West, buy The Kithzbuhel All Star pass, over a week 14 euro extra, From Westendorf, go as high as lifts take you, take the run under the key west, from there bus towards Kirchberg, The bus will stop at two Gondalas which bring u up mountain, ski Kirchberg, if you have time Kitz too. to finish take the Key west and ski home or : bus 4051 from Kirchberg or Kitz , which is free for All Star pass holders . Train home about 5 euro, Kitz train easier to access on skis, than Kirchberg train station
All Star covers Ski Welt, kitz, St Johann and lots more
I assume you can buy locally at Westerdorf,

The all star pass cost a lot more than 14 euro extra for the week over the skiwelt pass!

The word 'bus' crept in - I was led to believe, unless I have read it all wrong in the brochures that there was a gondola directly across. I must have got it wrong!

The run under Key west stops at bottom of key west Gondla, bus from there I'm afraid, about 10 mins , to either of the two Kirchberg Gondala's

Stayed in Westendorf a couple of season ago for 6 days.
Yes Definately a bus to the Flekenbauhm (I think its called)in Kirchberg, don't remember it being 10 mins, but could have been, having too much fun time going too quickly!
The All-Star card well worth having, think it is about 25 Euros more for a week, Definately wasn't worth worrying about the extra expense and you will want to go more than once.
