Good Morning All!

I'm just after some advice on the best place to get ski's .

I've been skiing about 4 seasons now and feel I'm at the stage where I'll benefit from having my own skis.

However, we're going to Whistler mid Jan (woo hoo!). Was there last season and used a pair of Salomon Lord's. First really deep powder experience for me and off piste ,I found them fantastic.

So the question do I buy ski's here or in Canada? I've had a chat with the guy at Snow and Rock and he's recommended some AM Ski's that have had great reviews.

Just after some advice,

Cheers T1b
Finally went off Piste!

Biggest advantage to buying in Canada is that you can try before you buy whcih si worth it's weight in gold.

The Canadian $ is really strong comapred to when I was last there so this is the only downside I see.

Take an old used ski bag with you so it doesn't look like you have new skis coming back
because I'm so inclined .....

You used to be able to claim the tax back on any purchases made in Canada,in the airport before returning home.If this is still the case then this would partly offset the strength of the Canadian Dollar.
I found the best boot fitter ever in Whistler,he even canted my bindings. Now my boots are soooo comfy!
