Hi,
Im heading to Ponti di Legno/Passo Tonale on 24th Dec. It says there is 20cm on the lower slopes and 65cm on the upper slopes...how much is enough to ski?? And for those of you who have been...when they say upper slopes, do they mean the glacia?
Im worries there isnt enough to be able to use all the runs...anyone know?
cheers

Should be ok. I have been a number of times from Xmas/New Year and late Jan and touch wood all has been well. There are snow cannons around and they do move the snow around if there are any problems. Just so you can keep a check here is the web cam link for the area, http://www.adamelloski.com/it/webcam-adamello-ski/
and as you can see the glacier has tons. If all else fails, an afternoon in El Bait tasting the great beers will keep you going.
 Only if you are on rental skis I would add to that!

That is enough to ski on, I have done it on less as have some others here I imagine.
20cm at the bottom might be a bit hard packed but will be fine
There is more snow forecast through this week.
Some on here know the area well so will be along soon
Please hold the line...

Everybody should ski in Scotland on a postage stamp sized bit of icy snow at least once - with a few rocks and patches of mud to add to the ambience. You really don't need much snow at all to be able to ski!
