Hi,
I need to buy some new walking boots. I'd like to buy some which are good for walking (obviously) but also suitable for walking around a ski resort with snow.
Any recommendations and/or things to consider when choosing a pair?
Thanks.

Hi
You will find normal walking boots will have normally have grip for mud/rocks, the grip for snow is different.
You may need to check what they are made for.
Best wishes
Helen

Have to agree with Calvahead here, my walking boots have never been brilliant in snow, including my current ones which are Salomon Quests.
Given that you actually want walking boots, I would just go with whatever you are comfortable in (most important) and live with their performance in snow. I doubt they are going to be a complete wash out.
Alternately, just get something cheapish which are dedicated for snow and keep your walking boots for proper hikes.
