Settled weather is forecast for the Highlands this weekend so get up there and make the most of the late season snow.

This just in from the Winter Highlanders :-

At the top of the mountain the Ptarmigan Bowl retains a decent width of cover of soft forgiving spring snow, still fantastic areas for novices and with availability in the snowsports school an opportunity to try out another snowsport. The Polar Express trainer tow is operating for those getting to grips with the tows. Ptarmigan Tow is unloading at the top of the Ptarmigan Bowl.

For more experienced skiers and boarders, Coire Cas remains full length and is serving up some sweet spring snow fun. The upper Cas is fast on loose granular spring snow, but while the upper Cas is a mellow cruise, your legs will get a good workout in the famous Gunbarrel bumps! Can you tame the Gunbarrel, come and try this weekend, just remember the rubber knees, a sense of humor and some suncream.

Finally for those with touring gear or prepared to do some leg work on foot, the Ciste Gully continues to see action with around 1400ft vertical of good fast spring snow from the top of the Ptarmigan Bowl down. Quite a few people skinning up on Thursday, but a walk over to the Daylodge involves considerably less vertical! Remember there's a river underneath the Ciste Gully, so play safely!
