Mrs Ski96 and I are off to Courmayeur on Wednesday, never been before! Can anyone offer advice on what to do/not to do? I'm quite tempted to try the vallee blanche so any advice there would also be most welcome.
It looks like there is some snow and lots of sun, can't complain about that in late March.

Thanks for the replies,
Daved - how long does it take on the bus to La Thuille?
Pablo - sound advice. Food+beer+Johnski96 = [smiley] (if I knew how to do smileys!)

The Vallee Blanche has been quite high in terms of avalanche risk this year so I'm told.
A friend who's done it didn't rate it as one of the more interesting days skiing he's had.

about 1/2 an hour...its a regular shuttle and free...at least it was when I was there about 3 years ago...you could go to Pila as well on the pass but I didn't and its quite a bit further

If you are going to Courmayeur, be sure to spend a day (or more) at La Thuile. It is a free bus ride of about 45 minutes, but it has more than double the number of runs at Courmayeur and you can ski to La Rossiere in France for lunch - well worth doing!
