Goggles.

If you want to ski at any speed other then slow, to me they are a must. Skiing fast in sun glasses and my eyes just stream and i cant see a thing!

yeah.

115mm is the width of the tip
69mm is the width of the waist (under the boot)
100mm is the width of the tail

I cant help on the insurance front im afraid....

its in the next valley along from the Gastein Valley (just over the mountain really).

Never skied there, but went to have a quick look when I was in the area in July, really nice little village. Traditional Austrian place, lots of charm!

Shorter than "recommended" skis have advantages and disadvantages that kinda outweigh eachother really!
