Great photos. I think Go-pros and dash-cams are going to signal a new age of polite enforcement from police and other people with power over us. They'll never know when a camera is rolling.

While it has been just cold enough in some places to make enough snow in other places it's a mess. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp=45809978&from=en-us_msnhp&snid=18424776

Hippos have no problem keeping people off the tails of their skis!!! |
Five year olds and up are quite capable of carrying their own skis. If they complain, offer to carry theirs if they will carry yours. Good idea on the short day though. It's not fun when you can't ski your best, and you are much more likely to hurt yourself when you are tired. |
Probably safer than flying. The difference is that you can't look directly in a plane. Oh man, can you imagine standing in plane while looking down 35,000ft below your feet  |
It's the Little gondolas that I don't like. This four person one in Northern MN has a really steep section where it feels almost vertical. Several years ago ago a car broke free on the steep section and slid back into two others before crashing. Now I like it even less, even though I guess the checks are more thorough now. ![]() I had one very hairy gondola ride at Deer Valley in high winds, where the car had to stop for several minutes because it was swinging to much to bring it in to the lift station. A very white knuckle experience. |
The biggest clothing issue for kids is usually the glove/sleeve interface.

and just a few hundred feet of elevation can make the difference between precip that falls as rain or falls as snow.
