On the contrary, if your face freezes, you will rupture tiny blood capilliaries near to the surface of the skin. Your face will permanently look red and blotchy and you will then need either, laser resurfacing, or to wear a lot of concealer to even up the skin tone.
I don't like the sound of that.
I have absolutley no advice to give you Rose, I never wear foundation. In fact I rarely wear make-up, only to go to work and NEVER when I ski. :-)

I also have had bad experience with Soltan when I used it on my daughter. She was allergic as well and got burn on her face. Was told afterward that it effects a lot of people because of something they put in it, but can't remember what!
Look on the bright side if your face freezes it could be just like a face lift and you could look ten years younger and never need makeup again. In fact I might go there and try that could do with a little work!

Nearly, almost, but not quite!

Well the thread I started a year ago has re-surfaced so having had said holiday I can now answer it. I did still wear my normal make-up, it did'nt freeze up and temps were -20.
My nostrils and eye lashes froze, but once I put neck warmer over chin and nose no probs.
The only freezing prob was my butt. Took about an hour to warm up every time we got back to cabin.
