Hi guys
My cousin has got the snowboarding bug after having lesson in a snowdome. She and partner were due to go to France for 1st resort hol but big fall out and trip is off. She still wants to go but will be on her own. Does anyone know of any TO's who fill single places in chalets? (Thought chalets might give her more of a chance than a hotel of chatting to people over dinner etc). Any help or ideas gratefully received.

The J2ski group going to Sauze? Last I can remember, I think AllyG said they had one place left (shared room, looking for another female)?

Otherwise, she could try SnowChalet in La Clusaz; they always look after people well and can arrange pick-up from Geneva airport (numerous easyJet/BA/Swiss flights which are usually cheap in January).

If she's happy booking her own flights (not difficult) then worth looking at an independent chalet operator; they're usually very helpful, and most will happily accommodate her - especially outside the school holidays (assuming she's not a teacher!).
When's she looking to go?

Thanks. That was my thought but as a complete newbie and on her own she's finding the whole thing a bit daunting so thought a package might be better for once but realised last night having a quick scan at hols that it might not be that easy! She's looking at January anyway if that helps!!

I tried to book a single place for January it is possible but not a lot of choice, unless you want to pay double. I think there were a few deals to Andora where the suplement was reasonable. When I looked to book independly with cost of transfers etc it worked out expensive. I decided to book through a tour opp and booked for myself and partner who does not ski which was only about £100 more for two on half board than a single. Hope she finds something.
